Holiday Art Club

Monday 22 – Friday 26 July
Summer Holiday Art Club (7 – 12 year olds)
10 am – 1 pm

Come along to the Community Making Space to spend the morning designing, drawing and making a new collective artwork for the village. Working as a team and supported by contemporary artists, young people will work with shape, pattern and colour to design a new public artwork for Lumsden.

Summer Holiday Art Club is designed for children aged 7 upwards.
Children under 7 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Monday 5 – 9th August
Summer Holiday Art Club – STONE CLUB (12 – 17 year olds) with Lewis Morrison

10:30 am – 1 pm
Come along to SSW and the Community Making Space to spend the morning learning about stone carving and design. You will work together with SSW artists and technicians to learn about the properties of different stones, the tools needed to shape and carve and take time drawing and working on your own blocks to make pieces to display at SSW for the an exhibition at the end of the week.

All sessions and related materials are free and homemade food and refreshments are provided. No previous experience in working in any of the above materials necessary. Inductions will be provided at the start of each session.

Our Autumn programme will launch in September/ October so if you have come to SSW Community Making Space events and have ideas and thoughts for this upcoming programme please email communities@ssw.org.uk and suggestions will be brought to our community advisory sessions for discussion.
