return of the quiet one.

Thursday,9th October 2008

The Ganghut construction batallion, under the command of "The Table" sadly depleted by the recent departure of  "Big Bamboo Bat  Boy" was augmented today by the return of "the quiet one." A further welcome addition to the workforce came in the picturesque guise of Thor! Hammer of the Pong. The soundtrack to the day, other than that provided by T.Q.O. was the sound of repeated saw  vs insulation block action and the metallic hiss of retracting tape measures.

Aiding this focustastically frantic activity was the fine day. Normally it rains whenever Ghut try to do any building in Lumsden, or venture forth from thier scratchers for that matter. Either they may have accidentally altered the rain cycle thanks to the drawn out build phase, possibly resulting in temperature inversion and a shift in the saline balance of the German Ocean, or we are in for some weather very shortly.

Actually, the fluctuating weather has induced in me a hitherto undiagnosed condition called Bike Guilt. Despite the fact that the first snows of the year were falling, I felt huge pangs of guilt and regret when I was sitting on the bus to work rather than riding the Bonneville. Pangs augmented by a hoard of Beemer straddling Teutons heading in the opposite direction. Mind you, had they been BeretBoys on thier Motobecanes then the searing daggers of shame would have forced me from stagecoach's far from finest to writhe wretched in the nearest midden.

Watching the progressive construct of Aberdeenshire's first purpose built edifice dedicated to the forcefull post-inseminatory instincts of those opposed to the arrogant pre-delictives of purporters of anti elitism in the arts.......was a group of M.A. students from Grays in Yabbadabbadeen. They were here with us with half a mind to proposing prospective proposals for said Gthree-weeG interface.

Alongside this activity we are hosting a group of year three fine art students also from Grays. They are here for a bit of reflectivehead spaceexploration.

Last but not least, we are pleased to have amongst us Marc Dulude, the latest Pepiniers resident and talented Squendanista from Canada. He is keen on setting up a squennatorium in Quebec, a handy commodity for previous residents of SSW from that neck of the woods.
