A farewell to all that .......food.
Poor old gravey.
Sad to say that I missed Craig's Pizza extravaganza that marked the inauguration of Lois's oven but sadly also marked the end of the Summer residencies. ( I also missed Derek as he pulled his stringy pork but at least he left instructions on his blog in case anybody else would like to try it ). Craig spent many minutes over the preparation of the pizza dough, all the while yawning with joyous abandon as he had done for the duration of his stay with us
Having re-read the above it occurs to me that in future we should stipulate that applicants for residencies should also include a menu of grubby delights for us to choose from. An interesting recipe could perhaps sway a borderline decision. Also, to the casual observer of any blog posted here It could appear that the entire period from April to September at SSW has been spent in a flurry of food preparation and appreciation. There has also been a plethora of creativity, bonfires and visits to car boot sales, Alchemy and experimentation. Construction and deconstruction, Fire and salt, sheltering from the elements skinning and tanning. SSW alone has kept the charity shop sector in Huntly and beyond on a firm financial footing for the forseeable future.
Ganghut are back, well Jason is anyway, to supervise the project space construction. There may be more of the Ghuttersnipes around but it is a tad early for them at the moment.
