fun with rock (part three)

Thursday,4th September 2008

Click for larger version So this was the last of our circles, which was probably the most secluded of the three, probably because it is enclosed by a circle of trees.

We were just about to leave when I remembered reading something about the recumbent stone in this circle having some markings on it. On close inspection Maasa and myself were able to make out several 'cup' markings, which were particularly of interest to me as I am working on a project which centers round prehistoric 'cup and ring markings' on a group of stones in Northumberland.
